Us
Established since 2003
B​issett Accounting Students Society was started in 2003, back when Mount Royal was still a college. As the years passed, BASS became the largest student society at MRU with 250+ new members each year. Today our club has connections with over 100 organizations in Calgary, Alberta.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for Bissett accounting students to develop their technical and professional skills, network with industry professionals, and engage in community service. We strive to promote academic excellence, ethical leadership, and diversity within the accounting profession.
Who We Are
Our goal is to bring students closer to their future accounting careers. We do this by exposing accounting students to a variety of opportunities such as Networking dinners with Alumni, CPA representatives' social network, Case competitions, Excel workshops, etc.
BASS is constantly evolving to ensure accounting students have the confidence to apply classroom knowledge in real-life work experience and also learn from Alumni.

Being a BASS Member will allow you to attend all of our events. It also gets you added to the email list where we send events and job opportunities from numerous accounting firms. We also send information about our events through email. You are able unsubscribe at any time.

NOTE: We do charge a registration fee to become a member. The early bird fee of $6.99 is effective until September 30th, 2025. Beginning October 1st, 2025 the fee will increase to $8.99.
